Lagoon Amusement Park

The thrill of a roller coaster ride or the sound of live music draws crowds to Lagoon Amusement Park in Farmington. Families with kids love the OdySea underwater adventure and waterpark.

Costco and Deseret Book occasionally offer discounted passes to Lagoon. During Frightmares from mid-September to October, the park also offers haunted houses. Some are kid-friendly, but others are frightening. A great post ahead.

Thrilling Rides

Whether you want to test your nerves on a roller coaster or just bond with the family over food and games, Lagoon is the place to be. It offers a variety of rides and is especially popular around Halloween with fun and scary haunted houses.

The park is divided into five main areas: the midway, which features many rides and carnival-style games that are included with the ticket price; the Pioneer Village, which has exhibits displaying historic buildings and artifacts; the water park, which is open from late March through October; and the X-Venture Zone, which features more extreme rides that cost extra.

To cut down on wait times for popular rides like Cannibal and Wicked, plan your visit for a weekday when the crowds are lighter. Also, be sure to bring a poncho if the weather is rainy.

Family-Friendly

In addition to roller coasters, Lagoon features a water park and a section called Pioneer Village that displays what Salt Lake City was like back in the 1800s. Visitors can see the jail, carpenter’s shop, dentist’s office, and old camera equipment in this exhibit. It’s a great way to take a step back in time.

Lagoon is also home to several rides that cater to the younger crowd such as the twirling carousel and the spinning teacups. The park also offers several food outlets including a food court and ice cream shop. It’s a good idea to do some research before going to the park to find out which food is available and at which prices.

To avoid long lines, it’s best to visit the park right when it opens or on a rainy day. To further cut down on costs, bring in your own food and drinks. Outside food is allowed, but glass bottles are not. More places to also visit by clicking here.

The park also features a beautiful campground, the historic Pioneer Village, and the Lagoon-A-Beach Water Park. During the summer, it offers 70 thrilling rides and attractions, 40 challenging games, and fabulous live entertainment. During the fall, it hosts Frightmares with haunted attractions and entertainment. It’s a great place to take kids and adults. Thrilling rides and amazing food make it the perfect place for families.
